This handsome young man was trapped when one of our volunteers was trapping feral cats to be fixed he is a very sweet boy and must have been owned at one time he is fiv/leukemia negative, current on vaccines, flea and worm treated and microchipyou can fill out an adoption application online on our official websitevisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet she realized that he was not at all feral and would not do well in the colony

Angel is very friendly and loves to hang out with the staff and volunteersangel arrived at heartland as a stray, and although many potential adopters have expressed interest in her, she still hasn't met her perfect matchangel's perfect guardian will be patient and lovingif you get out her favorite fishing toy, she'll show you some awesome moves angel is stressed at the shelter and does not like to be combed or brushed so our groomers give her an adorable lion cut a couple times a yearplease give her a chancewe don't know about her life before heartland, but we do know that it takes awhile for her to trust new peoplethere is only one word that can describe angel--exquisite! she is a long-hair black and white cat with, well, exquisite markings

Sweet and so willing, callie just wants to please and be comforted by the volunteersa victim of the economic downturn, her owner could no longer afford her and coupled with a foreclosure, callie was going to be without a home in a mere 9 daysthe responsible owner contacted us through a good friend's encouragement, and callie did not need to go to the auction yard which is a one way ticket to slaughterwhen callie arrived, dr ahern, who has been callies' vet, gave callie her vaccinationssmart girl! callie is good for the farrier, vets, trailer loads and need more seasoning on trailshe began gaining weight and is now a perfectly proportioned horsecallie came to to serra's ranch febher confidence in us and all the handlers is growingshe had her long overdue dental work completed to rid her of 2 bad hooks on the front molarscallie, 8 years old but about 4 years old in her training, now gets regular lessons for 1 hour from serra's trainer in natural horsemanshipin fact, she visited the volunteer kitchen and nosed around in the fridge looking for carrotsshe's just a big lap dogcallie loves to learn! curious about everything and what is in her environmentwe separated all the injections by one week so that she was not slammed with them all at oncean energetic, happy camper

One of the kind volunteers is now fostering me, and i am thriving in my foster homei always let you know when i'm ready to go outside for a bathroom breaki am good on a leashi am nancy, and i came to the humane society kennel as a stray several years agoi am a senior girl and the humane society says i am eligible for the guardian angel fund which helps new owners with medical bills for my senior needs in future, should they arisei'm very quiet and not a jumperi'm looking for that special home who wants a quiet, smart senior dogi have a pretty, brown brindle coatmy foster mom thinks i am partly greyhound, because have long legs and a longish snout

Hard to believe that he was on death row at an oc shelter and only made it out due to the dedication of a few of the shelter workers and volunteers who brought him to our attentionthe future looks bright for sachi's newest superstar!he moved right into one of our amazing foster homes where he is playing non-stop with his new canine best friendthis blue-nosed pit mix with the crossed eyes and extra long tail would be the perfect successor to scooby-doo! mr s is just oozing with charismain fact everyone he meets is his new best friendit's onward and upward for shaughnessyif ever there were a dog that should have his own animated tv show it would be shaughnessy

I also have lots of different voices that i like to use - it keeps the volunteers on their toes!i came to live at the refuge because my dad worked long hours and didn't feel as though i was getting enough attentioni've got a large vocabulary, although sometimes i don't speak my words as clearly as i shouldi am quite a sweetheartonce i settled in at the refuge and got into the swing of things, i made lots of friendshello there! i'm caesar - thanks for stopping by my profile

While he's still settling into his new surroundings at our cat adoption center, he's allowing volunteers to pet him and rub his belly the eapl cat adoption center is located at chow down pet supply in evergreen come and meet his wonderful boy he must have known that his rescuer has many cats (thus the reason she was not able to keep him); that this was a safe place to find warmth and food for most cats there is an adjustment period getting used to all their new house matesbilly is a handsome medium haired orange tabby who was lucky enough to find shelter just before the last snowstorm and single digit temperatures billy did great during his vetting; already neutered; and for being left outside he's in great shape

Ehr volunteers rave about francis, a handsome hound mix who is about 7 years old & just about perfect francis was found near death when he was dumped after hunting season i guess they thought he had outlived his usefulness

Sable also has a small cold and would recover much quicker outside of acct! sable is shy when approached, although it only took a few minutes of chin scratches before she began to solicit more attention from volunteerssable is waiting for her adopters at the petco on grant avenue sable is a gorgeous all-black female who arrived at acct as a straya little quiet time & tlc and sable has the potential to become the prettiest housecat

Maybe they just thought he wasn't worth it- well twix sat on the back porch waiting for someone to let him in- day after day no one came! finally his cries at the back door were heard by one of our volunteersbeing in rescue we see alot of stuff- but having one of our neighbors move out and leave behind twix was so upsettinghe is already neutered and not having his meical history we just had him vaccinated and tested for fiv/felv which he is negative forwon't you open your heart and home for twix and give him the loving family he so deservesshe went into the yard and he came right over as though he was asking her to open the door for himtwix is a wonderful pet! we cannot understand how this family could just leave him behind- he is so loyal! he is a large cat and gets along with all the other cats he has met in his current foster home

Don't let his tough guy looks fool you - volunteers describe apollo as a "goofy cuddle bug" this sweet senior is also a champion ball player, loves a good game of fetch, and likes to drink from the hose (which is pretty darn cute!)come meet this gentle giant and see if he doesn't steal your heart!apollo has lived in a home and has great manners, so he's ready to be your new best friend now

He enjoys dips in his kiddie pool, taking walks with our volunteers and romping in the play yardhe loves attention, and getting his coat brushedsadly gordy lost his sister, in may ofthey had been together since he was a pupgordy is 11 yrs old, so he doesn't romp long and hard, so he'd do well in a less active homegordy has been with us awhile, and we'd really love to see him find a home where he can settle in and live out his life in stylehis likes kids and gets along with smaller dogs

A lot of the volunteers come and spend time with us, it’s actually the “in” room which suits me and my buddies just finei landed at an animal control facility with an injured leg and i am so grateful that save-a-pet took me ini love petting and even belly rubs…and i’m always ready to reward you with some sweet purrsi tested positive so now i reside in their fiv suite, which is a pretty cool roomthey treated me and they also tested me for fiv
