Amazing tone, and a great piece of martin historycrazy scalloped braces and the best martin tone i have ever heard from a d-28it was the first year that martin brought back the herringbone trim and the scalloped braces on a d-28 in 30 yearsscalloped like crazy by handso much so, that they scalloped much less in , and changed again in i believethey didn't have brace scallop patterns so they recreated the processthey over-scalloped some to the point where they had a lot of issues with the topincredible instrumentthis is one of those first 200 hd-28'sprice is firm at $with taylorish highsthis is a very early with a perfectly flat topand yes, that means i won't take $a few small nicks and dings, and some finish checking on the front and backincludes what i believe to be the original hard shell casefor the first 200 hd-28 guitars they made in , they mid-spelled "meduim"in addition, it was the first year for the "use medium or lighter strings" stamp on the insideplays so easy and packs a whomplots of saddle left, great actionwas a special year for the d-28no cracks, no structure issues
