I adopted asher from the animal shelter in athens, tn in january when i called the shelter, i found out that the dogs my niece was referring to had all been adopted he could not understand why no one had adopted him, and was not looking forward to putting him to sleep he explained that asher was such a good boy and so sweet i paid them over the phone to have him neutered and micro-chipped, and drove to athens a couple of days later to pick him up, and there i fell in love i had been looking for a medium size dog, and my niece, who lives in east tennessee heard there were some lab-mixes at the shelter in athens he is on his last day, but the guy responsible for putting him down hasn't gotten around to do it yet i told him that i would rescue asher, sight unseen, to save his life the lady on the phone said "but we have this other little guy who is just so sweet" when i asked to speak to the man who was responsible for euthanizing the dogs, she readily put him on the line
